How long will it take to make the Qipao?
The lead time of all our custom-made orders vary depending on the complexity of the customization and the availability of fabrics associated with the order.
Production usually takes between 4 – 12 weeks for an existing style shown online but a rush order option at a surcharge is also available. For any pieces that are custom-made from scratch (ie. from design to sourcing fabrics to production to alteration), please allow 4 – 6 months.
If your wedding is in less than 2 months, we do recommend to order a ready made qipao here.

What is the process for a bespoke qipao?
Upon placing an order, we will promptly send you an email to confirm all the details regarding your qipao. Additionally, we will provide you with a link where you can conveniently provide us with your measurements. For your convenience, we have a comprehensive measurements guide available.
Once we have received your measurements, the production and delivery of your dress will require an estimated timeframe of 12-16 weeks. The specific duration is contingent upon the style and intricacy of the design you have chosen.
If you need any adjustments after you receive your qipao, you can visit a local tailor and we reimburse you up to HKD 300 for the alterations with a receipt proof. Learn more about the Bespoke Tailoring Process here.
What fabrics and materials are available for a bespoke qipao?
We offer a wide range of fabric choices to cater to your preferences. Our selection includes delicate silk as well as stretchy crepe materials, among others. If you have a specific material in mind or would like assistance in choosing the right fabric for your qipao, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at info@qipology.com. We are more than happy to help you make the ideal material selection for your garment.
Can I request specific alterations or customizations to the design?
Sure!
Prior to commencing the production of your qipao, we offer a personalized design consultation session. This session can be conducted either online or at our PMQ studio, depending on your preference. During this session, we will discuss your design preferences and requirements. Additionally, we will provide you with a design sketch for your approval before proceeding with production.
For customers based in Hong Kong, we offer fitting and alteration services locally. However, for customers located outside of Hong Kong, we understand the need for alterations as well. Therefore, we are pleased to offer reimbursement of up to HKD 300 for alteration expenses. Simply provide us with a receipt as proof of the alteration cost, and we will process the reimbursement accordingly.
What is the return or exchange policy for bespoke order?
All bespoke/ custom orders are NOT eligible for refund nor exchange. For clients based in Hong Kong, we offer one free alteration at our PMQ studio.
